Sub eight minute lap of Nurburgring for an all-electric car

For the first time an all-electric car has lapped the Nurburgring Nordschleife test track in less that eight minutes. The time achieved was 7:47.79, it was set by Toyota Motorsport GmbH's (TMG) EV P001 shattering the previous fastest of 9:01 which was set by the Peugot EX1 earlier in the year.
