New techique to stop steel corrosion

Researchers at the University of Hertfordshire are investigating how high intensity electromagnetic fields can reduce corrosion in steel by up to 50%.

Their previous research has shown the effects but further investigation is required to understand why this is happening.

You can read a summary of the research in the journal Strength of Materials (Vol. 41 No. 4. pp 387-391). The journal is available through the DIT Library website.
